The proper flag for the party is very similar to the Previous Flag, only that it has a light blue
background, and is more vertical than horizontal.

I checked the party site at <www.hdz.hr>
and there is availbe Statute of the party that describes the flag
as light blue with the party emblem in the middle and acronym
inscriobed below. As a rule the flag is adorned with silver or
golden fringe on three sides. There is no indication about
weather this is a horizontal or vertical flag, and - even if I
previously though there might be horizonatl version too - I have
never seen it - only the vertical version is used. Even when it
is attached to the flag staff in a way one would expect to have
rotated design.
Regarding the gray field - I believe that the flag as used while
president Tudjman was alive was silver - field was made usually
of shiny metalic textile - and gray when printed, though when
exactly the change to light blue was made, I am not sure,
probably before 1999. The party Statute mentioned above has it
light blue, though it is wording of the Statute adopted in year
2000. Not that I think that it was changed in this regard...

The youth organization of the party is "Mlade
Hrvatske demokratske zajednice". They use a flag composed of
gray (silver) and white squares atristically made so as if made
by diagonal filling. In the middle of the flag the gray parts are
changed into red and blue, thogether with written word
"mlade!" (youth) forming the emblem of the youth
organization.
